Doing Business with ASEAN conference scheduled for Wednesday May 8, 2024, 11:15am –

The Indiana District Export Council, the US Department of Commerce, and the Northeast
Indiana Regional Partnership are excited to announce a half-day seminar devoted to exploring
business opportunities between Indiana and the ASEAN nations at the Don Wolf Conference
Center in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Featuring keynote speakers Ambassador Ted Osius, President and
CEO, US ASEAN Business Council, and Scott Glaze, Chairman & CEO of Fort Wayne Metals, the
seminar will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge regarding ASEAN customs and
commerce and how best to engage for long-term business success.

Southeast Asia is one of the fastest growing economic regions in the world. Leading this
transformation is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), an economic
powerhouse of 10 nations including Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore,
Thailand and Vietnam. With a population of over 650 million and a GDP of $3.8 trillion, ASEAN
ranks as the world’s 5th largest economy. The US exported $107 billion in goods to ASEAN in
2023, up 25% since 2019, with Indiana’s exports to the region up 52%.

Tickets can be purchased online at Doing Business with ASEAN at the early bird rate of $65
through April 24. General admission tickets for $75 will be available through 12 pm on May 7.
Due to the event including lunch, registration will not be available at the door.
