Dinner on the Medora Covered Bridge. 6:30 p.m. August 5th, 2017. Spend an evening with food and friends in a unique setting. Inside the Medora Covered Bridge in Jackson County, Indiana. Built in 1875 by J.J. Daniels, today it is The longest spanning historic covered bridge in the United States. Once a year the Friends of the Medora Covered Bridge organization hold a fundraising dinner to continue their efforts to clean, protect and promote the historic spans. Dinner will be catered by Country Cookin' of Salem, Indiana. On the menu is fried chicken and roast beef with sides, salads and pies (including sugar free). Entertainment will be provided by the gospel-bluegrass group, Sure Shot Turkey Dusters along with door-prize giveaways donated by local businesses.
